On the basis of wavelet transform theory and method, wavelet transform is applied to filter the cutting head vibration signal and cutting motor current signal for tunneling dynamic load identification system. Wavelet filtering uses wavelet domain threshold filtering method. The method and principle of threshold filtering are introduced, and the selection method of wavelet base is proposed. It is verified and practiced in Matlab and the simulation results show that the time-frequency localization property of wavelet packet threshold denoising can filter a large amount of background noise in non-stationary signals. The signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) after denoising is obviously higher than that of Fourier filtering, which fully demonstrates the superiority of wavelet packet threshold method in non-stationary signal denoising
