Three-Layer Structure Triboelectric Electricity Generator with ULP Rectifier for Mechanical Energy Harvester

we present and manufacture a millimetre-scale three-layer triboelectric energy generator operating in vertical separation-contact mode, which could double the output power compared with that of two-layer generator with same separation distance. Then, we develop an application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) of ultra-low power (ULP) full bridge rectifier for triboelectric energy harvesting. The rectifier converts AC electricity into DC energy, and temporarily stores the energy in a μF capacitor. The experimental results demonstrate that triboelectric energy is successly harvested by the prototype ASIC.
