The experimental functions and application of an adsorption-desorption-seepage experimental device are introduced for gas saturated coal in this paper. This experimental device is composed of loading system, triaxial pressure vessel, pore pressure control system, temperature control system, data acquisition system and auxiliary system. The maximum axial pressure is 150 MPa, and the maximum confining pressure is 40 MPa. The heating stable temperature can reach as high as 100°C. The experimental functions of this device are powerful, and the experimental device is capable of accurately simulating the actual formation environment in which the coal seam gas seepage is located. An experimental study of seepage has been carried out used by the experimental device, in which the adsorption and desorption of gas are considered for the gas saturated coal under different loading conditions. The results show that confining pressure, gas pressure, temperature and effective stress have important effect on the permeability of gas saturated coal.
