Study on Optimal Location of CO Monitoring Points in Coal Mine

In view of the risks defect of early warning of CO sensors arranged according as the present safety regulations in coal mine and correlative specifications in spontaneous Combustion coal mine, a CO sensors layout mode of comprehensively considering the sensor monitoring coverage and the CO safety impact points are proposed. The graph theory and set-covering theory are utilized to establish a model of comprehensive optimized arrangement and define objective function and constraint conditions, and design a three-phase hybrid ant colony based on column reduction, taboo search (TS) and ant colony algorithm (ACA).The column reduction algorithm is used to reduce original monitoring covering matrix, then TS-ACA is employed to solve the minimal set of monitoring points with complete coverage. The simulation experiment was done with 14.25min for the shortest effective CO alarm time of belt vehicle roadway in shaft as significance level of monitoring to find that the CO sensors arrangement according to the correlative regulations and specifications are able to meet the actual requirements of mine engineering.
