Experimental Study on Variation Laws of Coal Surface Potential during Gas Adsorption

In this paper, an experimental system of surface potential during coal adsorption of gas was designed to study the characteristics of surface potential in this process. The results suggest that surface potential is generated in this process and it is enhanced with the passage of time. In adsorption cycles, the higher the pressure is, the greater the surface potential signals are, and they increase exponentially. Thereby, research on surface potential during gas adsorption on coal is of great theoretical significance for understanding the physical properties of coal.
