Taking the 3600 section of Pingzhuangxi coal mine as the prototype, the experimental model is made on the basis of the similarity principle. Based on Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) and photogrammetry, the mechanical properties of the foam filling material and the correlation with the gangue material are studied, the deformation characteristics of overburden in the process of coal seam filling are analyzed, and the law of the overburden subsidence in the seam filling area and the coal pillar area is obtained. The results show that the overburden subsidence in the seam filling area is divided into 4 stages, and the coal pillar overburden deformation is divided into 3 stages, which is affected by the compression characteristics of the filling material, the immediate top and the breakage of the key layer. Based on the relationship between the strain rate mutation of the sensor and the deformation and failure of rock mass, a method based on Fiber Bragg Grating technology is proposed to determine the height of the water flowing fractured zone, and is compared with the existing calculation method to verify its rationality, which can be used as a new method of determining the height of the water flowing fractured zone.
