North China type coal field of deep coal seam mining in Shanxi formation often faces the threat of roof water inrush. In order to reduce or avoid the roof water disasters, on-site technical personnel usually carry out the release of roof water through the roadway drilling based on the electric prospecting data obtained before the working stope mining. In fact, it is difficult to effectively release roof water in sandstone before working stope advance. In order to solve this problem,taking Shandong Xinjulong Energy Co., LTD. the first mining face No.1301N working stope to practice the research background, we put forward the three-dimensional high-density electrical method advanced advanced detection during the process of working stope advance, and play advance borehole along the working stope roadway ahead to release roof water according to the water enrichment area of the geophysical exploration results explain. The results show that advancing strata movement during the process of working stope advance can cause rock burst, which is beneficial to enhance the hydraulic connection between the roof aquifer. As a result, the roof water in sandstone can be effectively released through advance borehole, and the first full-mechanized caving mining face is ensured safety mining.
