The separation and concentration technique of low concentration coal-bed gas is the key technology, which restrict the utilization of low concentration coal-bed gas. Based on the analysis of CH4/N2 separation and concentration study of low concentration coal-bed gas of domestic and foreign scholars from different technology, material and method, the staged results and breakthrough are summarized. The separation effect and advantages and disadvantages of cryogenic process, membrane separation process, solution absorption process, adsorption stripping process and hydrate synthesis process in different condition are analyzed simultaneously. That combination and multi stage separation process is the researching orientation in the future, and the utilization prospect of low concentration coal-bed gas is viewed objectively.
