Coal and Gas Outburst Early Warning Technology Based on Dynamic Characteristic Index of Gas Emission

Aiming at the problems of traditional coal and gas outburst drilling prediction methods with low accuracy and poor real-time performance, the basic principle and technical flow for real-time early warning of coal and gas outburst hazards using gas emission monitoring information are presented. The gas emission characteristics were analyzed using a combination of accident cases, field data, and experiments, the results show: the gas emission volume, peak value, and fluctuation range in the coal and gas outburst danger areas are significantly greater than those in non-hazardous areas, which respectively influenced by the gas content of the coal body, the structure of the coal body, and the ground stress, changes in coal seams and gas occurrences cause mutations in trends of gas emission; Four categories of early warning indexes including gas quantity, gas desorption, gas fluctuation, and gas trend that based on gas emission characteristics are established, which reflect danger from the different aspects of the main control factors of coal and gas outbreak. The early warning system integrating on-line monitoring, acquisition, real-time analysis, and early warning is established, field application shows: the system can real-time and accurately warn coal and gas outbursts, the information, automation and intelligentization of coal and gas outburst early warnings are realized.
