In this paper, the ruggedness coefficient, microphysical structure, microchemical structure and their mutual coupling of different metamorphic coals are analyzed by laser particle size analyzer, scanning electron microscope and Fourier transform infrared spectrometer. The results show that coals with different metamorphic degrees have different degrees of solidity and the solidity is gradually increasing with the increasing metamorphic degrees, Huopu’s ore coking coal
