The design of 1×2 MMI at the MIR wavelength of 2μm

In this letter, we calculate and simulate 1×2 MMI coupler at the MIR wavelength of 2μm on the SOI platform. According to the self-image theory, the 1×2 MMI’s parameters are calculated, as well as the 1×2 MMI coupler is simulated, and the structure parameters are optimized. The optimization results are obtained, and the power splitting ratio can be achieved 49.98 : 50.02.
