MWD technology in coal mine has superiority about highly drilling efficiency and control precise of drilling trajectory, and it applied generally to gas extraction and structure exploration in coal mine, and will be also used in water prevention and control gradually. Presently, drilling construction for water prevention and control in coal mine is mainly on rotary drilling, which has low efficiency construction, small range of grouting reinforcement, and general reinforcement effect. Through the development of MWD technology in coal mine and present of water prevention and control research status, application to directional drilling hole of grouting reinforcement in ZhaoGuYiKuang coal seam floor, indication extensive that measurement while directional drilling technology has highly efficiency construction, grouting reinforcement widely, good reinforcement effect in coal seam floor. Based on the superiority of MWD technology and tendency of serious water disaster in coal mine, the technology will be more and more application prospect for water prevention and control in coal mine.
