Reactive oxygen species (ROS) such as superoxide radical (O2·-) and hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) are harmful in plants. However, it is essential for signal transduction in response to abiotic or biotic stress. For instance, plants, which are defective in ROS production, are hypersensitive to salinity stress. Therefore, the accurate control of ROS production and dissipation is very important to deal with stress response. RbohD is PM protein that generate ROS in apoplastic region and it is activated by biotic and abiotic stress. Recently, Hao (2014) revealed that RbohD is internalized via clathrin mediated and clathrin idependent pathway under salt stress condition. AtECA4 is an adaptor protein of clathrin vesicle and we observed that ateca4 generate low ROS under salt stress condition. And we found RbohD showed recycling retardation in ateca4 background. Thus, we try to investigate behavior of RbohD and reveal the relationship between RbohD vesicular trafficking and ROS production.
