In inertial confinement fusion (ICF) experiment, experimental observations of the hot-spot core temperature and density profiles are critical for implosion diagnosis.
In this work, we present a newly-developed technique for measuring temperature and density profiles in ICF implosion hot spots. This technique is based on continuum emission X-ray spectroscopy coupled with two-dimensional X-ray imaging. The measuring system is a combination of a multiple pinhole and a Bragg mirror, and a time-gated camera is used to record the X-ray image. From the multispectral imaging of Bremsstrahlung continuum emission, the core temperature and density profile could be obtained, and the experimental results will be compared with simulated calculations.
