Intensity Analysis Research of High Resolution Transmission Grating Spectrometer

X-ray is emitted by the interaction between the incident lasers and surface materials of the hohlraum in Inertial Confinement Fusion (ICF) experiments . Finally the hohlraum would be a pure and uniform X-ray radiation field with high temperature and high density. The mostly X-ray is in the energy range of 0.1~1.5keV.The soft X-ray spectrum is the important data concerning by the theory and experiments including the characteristic such as spectral line-shape, emission temporal process, total energy and spatial distribution et al. Transmission Grating Spectrometer (TGS) has been used to diagnose laser-produced plasmas in the past.The advantages like simple form, wide energy range and absolute calibration make it a common considering device. The spectrum acquired by TGS is associated with X-ray transform efficiency and radiation temperature from plasmas.
the signal intensity is a fundamental parameter in data analysis and CCD is the main recorder device equipped with TGS used in temporal integral mode. while the laser energy is low, the signal of CCD is normal. As new laser facilities with laser energy growing larger, the flux of hohlraum radiation will grow greatly. for the CCD,if the first order signal of the TGS is too intensity to fill the trap capacity to the full, then it will be a impossible task to reconstruct the original spectrum and cause the experiments failure. So we choose the typical TGS structure that is composed with space resolution slit, transmission grating (with 50μm slit) and CCD as a sample to make a precise analysis about the intensity on the CCD. This work is not only available for improving the TGS spectrometers operating now, but also will be some important guiding principles on making a new design in the future.
