In indirect-drive inertial confinement fusion (ICF), lasers are injected into a gas-filled hohlraum in different cones. Due to the overlapping geometry, the propagation of a laser beam could be affected by others, not only through the variation of the plasma parameters but also through the occurrence of multiple-beam laser plasma interaction (LPI) processes. Here, we report on our latest experimental research of this interplay between beams of different cones. The experiments were performed on the 180-kJ Shenguang (SG-180kJ) laser facility. The stimulated Brillouin and Raman scattered light from the outer-cone interaction beam was measured at different intensities of the corresponding inner-cone beam. The results indicate that multiple-beam LPI is insignificant under the current experimental conditions on SG-180kJ, but the inner-cone beams do affect the LPI process of outer-cone beams by changing the plasma parameters.
