One of the key issues that the National Ignition Facility (NIF) failed in ignition was the unexpected asymmetry of the hotspot caused by the LPI, engineering factors, etc. In this work, the hotspot X-ray images are simulated by forward calculations, in order to have a better understanding between the hotspot and the X-ray photograph. Based on the 1D radiation hydrodynamics simulation, the asymmetry such as the vital P2 and P4 are artificially applied to the hotspot. With the X-ray emission and absorption, we can then get the X-ray images of the hotspot from any viewpoint. The X-ray photographs were obtained by the diagnostic devices like XFC in the implosion experiments conducted at the 100 kJ laser facility. With the adjustment of asymmetry and the response of different imaging methods, the hotspot imaging were calculated numerically to match the experiment results.
