Rapid Input Control Method of Arc Current Transfer Type Current Limiter

This paper analyzes the characteristic of the short-circuit fault and the principle of the arc current transfer type current limiter. Then, based on the wavelet transform, the high-frequency energy is extracted as the basis for input control. In order to reduce the influence of the correlation between high-frequency energy and voltage phase, the least squares algorithm is used to extract the power-frequency current. Combining the above basis, a rapid input control method of arc current transfer type current limiter is proposed. Then, the applicability of the control scheme is studied, based on the PSCAD simulation model. After verification, it's finally concluded that the method has high applicability, which provides reference for the control research of that type of fault current limiter.
