Aiming at the problem that the current time domain fault location method has low accuracy under the change of line parameters, this paper takes line parameter errors and fault location results as variables to participate in the calculation, forming a multi-variable optimization problem. The standard genetic algorithm is optimized to realize the non-linear adaptive adjustment of crossover rate and mutation rate according to fitness, which effectively improves the search ability and convergence speed of the algorithm. PSCAD simulation software and MATLAB are used to verify the algorithm. The simulation results show that the method is not affected by fault location and transitional resistance, and can achieve accurate fault location in the whole transmission line.
