The paper analyzed the requirement for renewable energy generating units participating in rapid frequency regulation in the sending end network, and proposed photovoltaic and wind power participate in frequency regulation under different frequencies. According to the idea of coordinated cooperation of various types of units, the scheme of parameters setting for fast frequency regulation of new energy sources in Northwest Power Grid has been completed. The new energy fast frequency regulation model was established through the PSASP power grid stability simulation program and the large-scale power grid stability simulation analysis was completed. The results show that the wind power and photovoltaic adopting differential rapid frequency regulation parameters can better utilize the rapid frequency regulation capability of various types of power sources. The rapid frequency regulation of all types of units is coordinated, and the frequency stability in the sending end network is effectively improved.
