The penetration of distributed generation (DG) is limited because the system safety may be destroyed by large scale DG integration. While electric vehicle (EV) charging can be optimized to balance the power generated by DG. In this paper, the optimal charging model is proposed considering the EV charging energy and power requirements as well as power balance and network safety. Then an iteration method is proposed to solve the optimal charging model. Considering the EV optimal charging, a penetration calculation method based on the dichotomy method is presented. Finally, IEEE33 node test system is adopted to analyze the effect of EV charging station on the penetration at different locations.
