The high-speed transmission line protection based on the transient fault information is proposed in this paper, inccurrent differential protectionluding the distance protection based on the differential algorithm applying the local information and the sample value differential protection applying the two-terminal information. The theory of the equal transfer processes is utilized to solve the impact of the CVT transient transfer error and the transmission line distributed capacitor, in order to improve the speed and the accuracy of the protection. The laboratory test shows that the distance protection can act within 3ms for the short-line fault, and the current differential protection can trip within 7ms for all fault within the protected line.
