Research on Non-communication Protection for Double-loop Distribution Lines in Closed-loop Operation

In order to meet the reliability requirement of power supply in extremely important areas of load, double-loop distribution lines have been built and operated in closed-loop mode in China. This paper focuses on the research on non-communication protection for double-loop distribution lines in closed-loop operation. Firstly, this paper introduces the structure of the double-loop network and its possible operation modes. Secondly, according to the above operation modes and protection requirements, this paper proposes the protection configuration and setting scheme of the non-communication protection for double-loop distribution lines, which will fully meets the requirements of high performance protection in different operation modes. Finally, this paper analyzes the special problems that the protection scheme may meet.
