Chen Shi, PhD, Associate Professor of School of Petroleum at China University of Petroleum (East China), Co-founder of Nacheon Pipeline Co. Ltd., National Thousand Talents Program Expert, Professional Engineer licensed in Texas USA. Dr. Shi has years’ experience on the design and analysis of marine risers and composite flexible pipes. He had undertaken several projects of developing marine riser systems of a water depth over 1500 meters. As the principle investigator Dr. Shi is currently working on a project of development of a key technology and equipment for deepwaters sponsored by National Key R&D program of China. Dr. Shi has published more than twenty papers indexed by SCI/EI; he has applied for nine patents and drafted one national standard and one industry standard.
