Realization of CAN FD Shielding in High Speed CAN Transceiver for partial Networking

The introduction of partial Networking in CAN bus provides a reliable solution for the communication compatibility between CAN and CAN FD nodes. In order to realize the shielding of CAN FD message in high-speed CAN transceiver for partial Networking, this paper gives the function structure of digital logic in CAN transceiver according to the standard protocol of CAN and CAN FD and the specification of partial Networking in ISO11898-6. By comparing the frame structure differences between CAN and CAN FD, the bitstream processing logic, CAN FD shielding logic, and bus idle detection logic are designed using Verilog HDL. Finally, through simulation and debugging, the CAN and CAN FD messages can be correctly distinguished, and CAN FD messages can be well shielded.
