The analysis on the impact of regular patterns of traffic flow on traffic jam and its mechanism of action, the construction of a collaboration model of traffic control and guidance that combines with multiple sources of information, the establishment of a strategy that is feasible and effective for the prediction of traffic flow and the collaboration of traffic control and guidance are the essential components for the realization of intelligent transportation. The real-time acquisition of traffic flow data and predicted data from the urban road network is one of the key elements that impacts the urban road traffic. The sufficient mastery of the variation laws for the traffic flow through analysis provides data protection that is essential to the research on the collaboration of traffic control and guidance in a more accurate way.
