The main aim of the paper is to discuss the legitimacy of reducing the temperature of the cooling medium (water) for better air cooling efficiency in underground workings distant from the shaft. In order to reduce the temperature, a device for producing the "ice-water" mixture was built, thus lowering the temperature of the cooling medium to 0 ° C. As a result, we obtain a low temperature of the cooling water at the entrance to the air coolers in areas located several kilometers away from the shaft. In this way, we obtain better cooling efficiency and there is no longer need to subcool the medium in distant regions.
