The fall of the roof on the longwall causes frequent downtimes, resulting in losses in production. At the same time, works related to the removal of this impediments are very dangerous. The presentation discusses the built-in central pressure monitoring system in powered roof supports used in JSW. Reports and the effects obtained thanks to the application of this solution have been presented.
