Activities of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa S.A. in the context of the upcoming european commission’s methane strategy

The JSW Group is the largest producer of hard coking coal in the European Union and one of the leading producers of coke. Coking coal was placed in the list of Critical Raw Materials for the EU. In 2020,

in the mines of JSW S.A. 362.8 million m³ of methane was released, of which 86 million m³ were used economically. Due to calls to reduce methane emissions to the atmosphere, JSW S.A. as a company that cares about the natural environment, it undertakes a number of activities in this direction. The presentation shows the undertaken and planned activities of JSW S.A. aimed at reducing methane emissions to the atmosphere.
