The integration of synergistic multiple photocatalysts would dramatically enhance their stability by impeding the photocorrosion. Herein, we develop a synergistic quaternary CdS-MoS2-WS2-Pt photocatalyst via a facile microwave-assisted method. This quaternary catalyst exhibits an excellent hydrogen production efficiency (400 times higher than pure CdS) and long durability of 100 h. We also demonstrate that the interaction of multiple photocatalysts boost the charge transfer by separating the electron charge carrier from the catalysts. The novel synergistic multiple catalysts design strategy provides new insights to develop high-performance beyond hydrogen evolution.
