Hybrid halide perovskite quantum dots have become the most promising photocatalyst materials due to the superior optical properties in the field of photocatalytic conversion. Herein, we have successfully synthesized the composite photocatalyst by formamidinium (FA+, HC(NH2)2+) lead halide perovskite quantum dots on the surface of the ammoniated silicon spheres to degrade NO toxic gas in flowing gas environment. The FAPbBr3@SiO2 composite exhibits excellent stability and significantly improved photocatalytic activity of NO removal. Moreover, the composite structure shows the outstanding degradation rate of 70% under visible light irradiation, which is around 2 times higher than the FAPbBr3 QDs. This work would open up the new possibilities of designing and improving the perovskite photocatalytic ability.
