The biomimetic superhydrophilic surface shows important application potential in droplet control, anti-fog, oil-water separation, biomedical and other fields. Polyether Ether Ketone (PEEK) has become an important implant material due to its elastic modulus close to human cortical bone, excellent chemical stability, X-ray projection and other advantages. However, the biological inertia of PEEK material greatly limits its practical clinical application. Theoretically, enhancing the hydrophilicity of PEEK surface helps to improve its bioactivity. In this study, the wettability of PEEK surface is regulated precisely one-step by femtosecond laser, which is conducive to its applications in the fluid environment in vivo.
