Staudinger reaction is one of classical transformations in organophosphorus chemistry. Their applications range from hard-core synthetic chemistry to medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and material science. Herein, we present our latest discoveries on the development of new organophosphorus reagents and methodologies. Mechanistically, these novel findings are rooted in the classical Staudinger chemistry and represent new twists and advances on this field.
