Phosphorylated aromatics, a class of organic compounds, have wide-ranging applications in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, and materials science.[1] Utilizing phosphorus radical-mediated approaches, researchers can readily access various structurally diverse phosphorus-containing scaffolds in a rapid and straightforward manner.[2] Our research primarily centers on designing and developing an innovative protocol that is both environmentally friendly and efficient for synthesizing phosphorylated aromatics. Moreover, a wide range of phosphorylated aromatics including phenanthridines, quinolines, and benzothiazoles were successfully synthesized via a visible-light-induced proton-coupled electron transfer strategy. The reaction mechanism, structure-reactivity relationship, and substrate scope will be discussed in detail.
