This paper proposes a low-cost super-resolution linear frequency modulated continuous wave (LFMCW) phased array radar via single RF channel sampling scheme. Since the normal phased array radar does not have the ability of super-resolution, the targets from the main lobe direction usually cannot be distinguished well. The key problem is that the signals of each array element cannot be obtained by the phased array. By using the time sequence phase weighting (TSPW) technology, the LFMCW phased array radar obtains a sequence of weighted samplings. With the single-channel samplings, the array signals of each element can be recovered according to the time-reversal method. Merage with the nested array structure, the cost can be even further reduced compared with that of the normal TSPW array. Numerical simulation results are performed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system compared with that of the normal LFMCW phased array system.
