Abstract
In mobile communication, mutual coupling between array elements will affect the estimation performance of the existing direction of arrival (DOA) estimators. To tackle this problem, an accurate DOA estimation method for coprime array is developed, where the effect of mutual coupling is eliminated by the banded complex symmetric Toeplitz matrix, and further weakened via two-dimensional (2-D) interpolation. The accuracy of the proposed algorithm is verified by the simulation results in comparison of several DOA estimation approaches as well as CRLB.
