This paper takes a flywheel energy storage system (FESS) with a 200kW 15000r/min high-speed Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor/Generator (PMSM/G) as the research object, and establishes the field-circuit coupled calculation model for the FESS. On this base, the discharge time of the system with the different load size and the relationship between the voltage and current of the PMSM/G with speed during constant voltage discharge are studied. In addition, a three-dimensional global transient temperature calculation model is established to quantitatively analyze the relationship between the temperature of the windings and permanent magnets of the PMSM/G with speed under constant voltage discharge mode. The validity of the model in this paper is verified by establishing the relevant experiment platform, which provides a support for the result analysis.
