It is an inevitable trend and an important feature of power system development that a high proportion of distributed energy source will be connected to the low-voltage transformer district, leading to problems such as unbalanced load in these transformer districts. The flexible power distribution equipment can provide new solution to this problem. In this paper, a concept of multi-ports balancing controller for flexible interconnection of low-voltage transformer district is proposed, and the topology of three ports balancing controller is described. On this basis, a coordinated control method suitable for flexible interconnection of multiple transformer districts is further proposed, which covers load balancing, uninterrupted power supply, high reliability and redundant operation, etc. The feasibility of multi-ports balancing controller in realizing the flexible interconnection of low voltage transformer districts is revealed by the simulation analysis.
