As the penetration rate of new energy increases, the inertia and damping of the power system gradually decrease, and stability problems become increasingly prominent. Virtual Synchronous Generator (VSG) technology has gained widespread attention and application as an effective means to improve the ability of new energy power generation systems to actively support the power grid, therefore, the research of impact of VSG on system transient stability has also become a hot spot. Firstly, analysis method of transient angle stability of power system is introduced, then the influence of conventional Doubly-fed Induction Generator (DFIG) on transient angle stability of system is analyzed, based on which, key issues and research status of transient angle stability of system with VSG-based DFIG are investigated in detail, finally prospection of further study of transient angle stability of system with VSG-based DFIG are proposed.
