Abstract

With the in-depth study on the physical mechanism of mode locking, penetrating and tearing mode suppression, the original RMP power supply system has been unable to meet the experimental requirements. In order to make RMP coils have more connection methods to generate more diverse magnetic field configuration and larger current, this paper redesigns a new control system for bipolar pulse AC power supply, which make it upgrade to a power supply that can operate in DC operation mode, moreover, the output current can be reversed in one shot. Besides, the control strategy, protection, real-time detection and waveform display can meet the requirements of normal operation. Finally, performance of this new control system is tested on bipolar pulse power supply.
