Abstract
This paper propose an analytical averaged loss model of a three-level NPC-type converter using SiC devices with sinusoidal based PWM modulation.Both the conduction and switching loss have been analysed.Their relationship with modulation index and power factor has also been studied. Finally,simulation has been carried out to verify the accuracy of the model.
