Mangrove microorganisms are one of the key areas of marine drug research due to their unique ecological characteristics, biodiversity and rich types of new secondary metabolites. Bacteria of the genus Serratia are important members for discovering bioactive compounds. Chemical investigation of the Serratia sp. isolated from the sedimentary mud in Fujian Zhangjiangkou National Mangrove Nature Reserve led to the purification of two new serratiochelins (12) and one known analogs (3). The structures of 13 were elucidated through extensive spectroscopic analyses including HRESIMS and 1D and 2D NMR data, and their absolute configurations were determined by ECD calculations. Bioactivities of isolates are under evaluation.
