In order to solve the problem of low methane production in straw biomass anaerobic fermentation, using corn straw as substrate, different volumes of exogenous hydrogen were intermittently introduced into the anaerobic fermentation experiment at 35 ℃. The effect of exogenous hydrogen on methane production of surplus sludge was investigated. The results showed that when the amount of H2 was 90ml/d, the maximum cumulative methane production (906.1ml) was obtained, which was 103.8% higher than that of the control group (444.6ml), and the conversion rate of exogenous hydrogen was the highest (128.2%). The relative content of CH4 in biogas can reach 89.6%, which is 24.4% higher than that of the control group. The relative content of CO2 decreased from 28.06% to 10.41%. Further exploration found that the introduction of exogenous hydrogen could promote the degradation of corn straw, the removal rates of TS and VS increased by 19.2% and 83.2% respectively, and the pH of fermentation liquor was also improved.
