In the current installation or maintenance process of large substation equipment, due to the lack of special hoisting equipment to cope with complex substation operation conditions, resulting in long power maintenance time, construction personnel safety can not be guaranteed and other problems.For these issues, this paper proposes a new type of substation special hoisting equipment program and designed a related mechanical structure.The equipment uses the bottom crawler walking mechanism to enter the narrow working space, and uses the frog legs to achieve balance and prevent overturning. The three-degree-of-freedom double mechanical arm and the high-altitude manned device carry out the hoisting of the substation equipment and the human intervention of the equipment, so as to complete the accurate and efficient hoisting operation of substation equipment.
