Potential transformer (PT) is widely used as a sensing device in AC power systems. Due to the influence of stray capacitance, the problem of excessive current in the pressurized secondary coil will occur during the induction withstand voltage test. By connecting a suitable compensation inductance to the PT non-pressurized winding, PT secondary side current can be effectively suppressed. However, for different types of PT, the value of compensation inductance varies in different test environments. At present, it is hard to determine the value of compensation inductance in engineering. Therefore, this paper designed the PT-induced voltage withstand test device. Under the condition of keeping the test voltage unchanged, the intelligent calculation of the compensation inductance value is realized through the combination of variable frequency power supply, adjustable inductance, and the intelligent control terminal. The experimental results show that it has a good engineering application value.
