Household distribution systems with renewable energy often use multiple AC / DC converters, which have complex structure, large volume and high cost. This paper presents a multi-port converter based on component reuse theory and its control system. The converter contains a variety of functional ports, including a bidirectional port (grid port), an input port (photovoltaic cell module port) and an output port (DC load port), as well as an active power decoupling port for reducing DC bus voltage fluctuation. This paper also designs a modulation method to realize components reusing and reduce the switch numbers. With the proposed modulation method, the converter can operate in three modes: single input single output, single input double output and double input single output. The simulation model and experimental prototype are established to verify the feasibility of the topology and its control system. The converter has the characteristics of less switches, low hardware cost and simple control. It has a good application prospect in house-hold DC microgrid system.
