The traditional magnetic energy harvester (MEH) model is widely used to calculate the core cross-sectional area and coil turns required for energy harvesting. However, the core cross-sectional area and the number of turns of the coil designed by the model cannot always meet the expected power and voltage requirements. In this work, a fitting method is introduced to correct the traditional model. The correction factor α of calculating sectional area and the correction factor β of calculating coil turns can be obtained under different currents. Then, the correction formula can be derived by substituting the correction factor into the original model. According to the correction model, the sectional area of the core and coil turns can be calculated to meet the target power and voltage requirement. The experimental results show that the maximum difference between the maximum output voltage and the theoretical value is 0.26V, and the maximum difference between the maximum output power and the theoretical value is 0.016W.
