In order to detect the conductivity of energy storage materials in energy storage devices by non-destructive imaging, we used Magnetically Mediated Thermoacoustic Detecting Method (MMTDM). MMTDM is a new resistance anti-imaging technology that generates an inductive magnetic field by injecting pulsed current into the excitation coil, and the metal material expands instantaneously after absorbing joule heat into the induced magnetic field, emitting an ultrasonic signal with conductivity information, collecting the ultrasonic signal, and rebuilding the conductivity distribution. In this study, an experimental platform for MMTDM was built, and a single-pulse and two-pulse comparison experiment was carried out to observe the strength of ultrasonic signals emitted by energy storage materials. This study proves that the dual pulse high frequency narrow pulse excitation source can make the energy storage materials produce stronger ultrasonic signal, and provides a good theoretical and experimental basis for the study of MMTDM.
