Abstract
The article proposes a modulation strategy (MODUS) that can realize the integrated control of brushless DC motor (BLDCM) motoring and braking. Using this strategy, the motor can freely switch between motoring and braking states without additional control commands, which is of great significance for the application of BLDCM in automatic driving or constant-speed cruise. For the convenience of explanation, firstly, the MODUS of the BLDCM motoring state and braking in the existing control method is introduced. Then, an integrated MODUS is proposed and its working principle is analyzed. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation.
