Abstract
The arc between catenary conductor and pantograph sliding plate will have an adverse impact on the stable current collection during train operation. Therefore, the research on the motion development characteristics of arc between pantograph and catenary is of great value for the safe and stable operation of train and improving the reliability and service life of pantograph and catenary system. In the process of high-speed running, the train is always affected by the head-on air flow in front of the train, and the difference between the head-on air flow and the cross wind is obvious. In order to clarify the influence of the frontal air flow on the arc motion characteristics between pantograph and catenary during train operation, the arc MHD model is established. The motion characteristics of the arc between pantograph and catenary under four different train speed conditions are simulated and analyzed, and the arc characteristics under different conditions are obtained. The results show that with the increase of train speed, the movement and development of arc is accelerated, the maximum offset distance of arc anode root is also gradually increased, the jumping frequency of anode root is more frequent, and the arc stability is gradually reduced. The research results provide a theoretical basis for the influence of frontal air flow on Pantograph catenary arc during train operation.
